I Just want to tell you a short story about ‘the another me’who usually speak with me by English language. Maybe in my campus, she is the only one who will stand with English when she meet me even just say my condition or ask about my day.

For who doesn’t know me well, i am Zahra Fariha N. Artyasa and my friends usually call me Zahra. ‘The another me’, who always get in touch with me by English is Azzahra Zulfi Zulfiah. I and her actually live in the same city, Bandung but we are in different region. People usually call her Zazul, this nickname is combination of Azzahra and Zulfiah. It so funny to remember her nickname. I said that she’s my ‘the another me’ because we have the same name ‘Zahra’ and we’re in the same consulate.

In my campus, they are two official languages to speak, English and Arabic. From high school and senior high school, actually we used to be speak in our daily with these both. But, maybe for some reasons, many collegians are seldom to speak these both. I don’t know what is the main reason for this matter but, i and her keep to try to make the new atmosphere especially in our daily for get in touch with English.

There’s a different taste when i try to speak English with her. I recognize that Zazul speak English fluently and i’m so happy when i do that with her. Even just we call our name or ask about what we’re doing or ask about our day. Someday, when i go to DLP, i meet her and she ask me why i buy a side dish from DLP. I just say to her that i don’t like the side dish from the kitchen that day. So i ask her to join me for breakfast together but she’s in a hurry and she have to go. I said yes and she’s gone.

I want to civilizing this habit for my self first, so then to other people around me. I think, to speak English in our daily absolutely important. The next 5 years, we will face the big future that needed to communication with global language, and from daily conversation we are start. Nobody knows including me that knows how benefit these are. Say hi, ask about day or condition, make some noise or other activities that usually we do but everything by English language.

‘The another me’ a.k.a Zazul and me, keep in try to create an impact from what we learnt along we being a student or collegian is worthwhile. But, maybe i still speak Indonesian language with my friends but i always try to speak official language with Zazul as well as i can. Thank you so much, Zazul for being my ‘speaking friend’ to increase my skill in speaking English. Break a leg, my ‘another me’.
